New in version 2.1 of QuipSig
____________________________________

- Cleaned up tab order.
- Modified program for Windows 2000 and XP compatibility:
	- Changed from user-selectable whether QuipSig is in startup to always being in startup as part of InstallShield install.
	- Changed from Mind's TaskTray.dll to Windows API calls for minimizing to system tray.
- Added 30 day free trial time limit, removed register nag form.
- Removed OneShot.

Upgrading an existing copy of QuipSig:
It is best to uninstall the existing version before upgrading to version 2.1.

Note:
If you are upgrading a registered copy of QuipSig you must move the file quip.dat that you received as part of your registration from the QuipSig install folder before uninstalling. Once you have uninstalled the previous version and installed the new version move the quip.dat file back to the QuipSig install folder replacing the 50-quip file that comes with the unregistered install just as you did at the time of registration. If you do not do this step you will lose your 4,000 quips. If this somehow happens anyway, feel free to contact the author for a replacement.

New in version 2.0 of QuipSig

Please note that QuipSig version 2.0 does not work with Windows NT.

QuipSig minimizes to the System Tray instead of the Task Bar. This takes up less space on your desktop, plus gives added functionality such as manually updating the quip through the right-click menu. While QuipSig is open it shows on the Task Bar, but once it is minimized it shows only in the System Tray. The System Tray icon changes briefly after quip is updated in the signature file. Moving the mouse over the icon in the System Tray also shows what the quip is currently.

Miscellaneous text fields expanded from 8 fields to 16.

Enabling/disabling of text fields done with check-boxes beside each field rather than through menu items.

Quip field can also be enabled/disabled at will with it's own checkbox.

Multiple fields files.
- Each person who uses the computer, and logs in with their own name, has separate configuration control, including which signature file and fields file to use.
- Each person can have multiple fields files and select between them at will.

Included with the QuipSig package is a specific-use program called OneShot, which selects a random quip and writes it to the signature file, then shuts down, each time it is run. This program will be used only by those users who wish to change their signature infrequently, such as each time Windows is started. Most users will have no need for it, but it has been included for those few Netscape version 3 users, etc. (QuipSig alone will likely be all the majority of users will need.) Note: OneShot will not operate while the QuipSig package is unregistered.

Configure OneShot or QuipSig programs in startup group. This is done with menu items in QuipSig, and the details of making the shortcut and adding it to the startup group are taken care of automatically. Likewise removal of same by clicking on the same menu item again.

Reach the support website directly from a menu choice.

Changed shortcut keys for inserting new quip from Shift-Ins to Ctrl-A to allow the Windows-standard insert-from-clipboard use of the Shift-Ins key combination.

Fixed a bug in the timer setting.

Added a space between the >> and << characters framing the quip and the quip text for spell checker compatibility.

Added the ability to copy the signature to the clipboard for use by people with web-based email.
